Boasting a distinguished 160-year legacy and a consistently upheld prestige, the University of Bucharest stands today as a dynamic, inclusive academic environment, deeply student-focused and marked by creativity, innovation, and pragmatism.
The Faculty of Geography at the University of Bucharest, one of the institution’s most venerable faculties, provides both broad-based and specialized theoretical education, coupled with meaningful interactive internships. These opportunities are designed to nurture competent specialists in diverse areas such as geomorphology, pedology, geomatics, human and economic geography, and also in meteorology, hydrology, regional geography, and environmental studies.
Involved in the project are seasoned researchers and faculty members from the Faculty of Geography, who possess extensive expertise in various environmental science disciplines. Their focus will encompass a range of topics pertinent to climate change impacts, particularly in cold mountain regions (like periglacial landforms), and in examining slope processes including landslides, rockfalls, and debris flows. Additionally, they will explore fluvial and coastal processes, delving into the dynamics of deltaic, coastal, and marine environments.
